Welcome to my new course on drafting and constructing a double-breasted waistcoat from the 1860s period. This style of waistcoat, with a shawl-collar, silk front, and double row of buttons was fairly common during the period, yet something that is not typically done well in modern reproductions. While the construction itself is not overly difficult, the draft for the front is somewhat complicated, and I’d recommend having some prior experience with drafting before starting this project.
There are eight modules, each will become available on a weekly basis. As always, if you have questions or problems, feel free to email me at any time. And consider sharing your work as you go in the new community support forum to help and encourage others in their work as well.
