Welcome to Drafting Waistcoats of the 1860s
Welcome to Drafting Waistcoats of the 1860s. In this class, you will learn how to draft and fit a basic muslin toile using Devere’s system of drafting from 1866. This base pattern will serve as a starting point for your future waistcoat projects – and since the fitting will be done, all you’ll have to do is adjust the styling of the pattern.
A waistcoat is also a great pattern for a beginner to learn on. There are only two pieces to the pattern, and as such, only so many places you can go wrong.
